Exchange making it easier to get, and stay, connected

Posted: Friday, Jun 8th, 2012

On the move? Planning for a permanent-change-of-station move? Want to find a better deal on Internet, cellular, TV or phone service? The Army & Air Force Exchange Service can help out through their Web site http:www.shopmyexchange.com/GETCONNECTED, a new online telecommunications resource designed to help military shoppers get connected and stay connected — wherever they go.

“Get Connected” provides instant access to information about the Internet, cellular, TV and phone services provided by Exchange-contracted providers around the world, including all major Army and Air Force installations, and Reserve and National Guard facilities.

Services are presented on a location-specific basis from a list of major providers serving Japan, Germany, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, the United Kingdom and Guam.

“This program is designed for Army and Air Force families who tend to be highly mobile and greatly value the ability to stay in touch with family and friends,” said Jeff Hyatt, the F. E. Warren Exchange manager. “It is perfect for those PCSing or returning from deployment, because they can look ahead to see what’s available, and in some cases, pre-arrange service.”

For more information on Exchange Internet, cellular and TV services, shoppers can log into http://www.shopmyexchange.com/GETCONNECTED to find installation-specific information.
